  I have given the Black Bear Diner a try over and over again ever since it opened. The decor is appealing, desserts are amazing, and the foods they do well are excellent. My two stars are based on these aspects. However there are quite a few entrees that are not done well whatsoever. Unfortunately the service went from bad to worse over the 7 months that I have periodically visited there. I thought they would improve over time, yet they proved me wrong. Every single time I have gone in, there has been something seriously wrong with the order and I have literally had the server argue with me over my order. I have repeatedly made simple requests of my server on multiple occasions (cream for my coffee, crayons for the kids, refills on drinks), to no avail. The servers are slow, inattentive and rude at best. I definitely expected more from them. It's too bad that the great aspects of this restaurant do not outweigh the bad. I have given up on hoping for improvement and they will no longer be receiving my business.
